Hot Air Balloon
This is the day I asked Arlene to marry me (and she said yes of course!). This picture was taken from hot air balloon 1000ft above the ground somewhere in ohio
Change the World
Interesting quotation from one Anglican bishop written on his tomb in Westminster Abbey:
“When I was young and free and my imagination had no limits, I dreamed of changing the world. As I grew older and wiser, I discovered the world would not change, so I shortened my sights somewhat and decided to change only my country.
But it, too, seemed immovable.
As I grew into my twilight years, in one last desperate attempt, I settled for changing only my family, those closest to me, but alas, they would have none of it.
And now as I lie on my deathbed, I suddenly realize: If I had only changed myself first, then by example I would have changed my family.
From their inspiration and encouragement, I would then have been able to better my country and, who knows, I may have even changed the world.”
Geeky Poem
Beautiful poem that apparently is being used in Harold and Kumar 2. This poem is actually a real poem and was written by David Kleinberg. Enjoy!
I’m sure that I will always be
A lonely number like root threeThe three is all that’s good and right,
Why must my three keep out of sight
Beneath the vicious square root sign,
I wish instead I were a nineFor nine could thwart this evil trick,
with just some quick arithmeticI know I’ll never see the sun, as 1.7321
Such is my reality, a sad irrationalityWhen hark! What is this I see,
Another square root of a threeAs quietly co-waltzing by,
Together now we multiply
To form a number we prefer,
Rejoicing as an integerWe break free from our mortal bonds
With the wave of magic wandsOur square root signs become unglued
Your love for me has been renewed
